Mercury is engineered to make sure you don’t lose sleep thinking about banking.* We’re constantly innovating and iterating on our product because we believe your banking tasks should feel simpler, more intuitive, and maybe even a little enjoyable. Keep reading to discover the most recent updates to your banking experience.

💵 Pay people faster by collecting their bank details directly

We may live in an increasingly automated world, but when you’re ready to pay someone, tracking down their bank details can still involve unsecured email exchanges and stressful manual input.

To save a few steps the next time you pay someone new, you can invite that recipient to fill out a confidential form with their own account details. Once they’ve submitted, we’ll securely store those details for easy access the next time you pay them.

You can also try searching for your recipient in the Send Money flow. You’ll be able to select someone you’ve paid before, log new recipient details yourself, and of course, invite the recipient to fill out their own details.

✂️ Cut through the red tape — increase your transfer limits in-app

It used to be that if you hit your limit when transferring or depositing money into your Mercury account, you’d have to email us to request assistance — but those days are gone. Now, you can quickly submit an increase limit request as you go through the Move Money flow. We’ll usually respond within one business day.

📱 Mobile: slide to transfer, tell your cards apart, and more

It’s been a great month for the Mercury iOS app. In addition to shipping a new mobile splash screen and login design, we got a lot of love from design Twitter for our little transfer confirmation slider. And after noticing that a lot of you were adding “virtual” to your credit* and debit card names, we also made your virtual and physical cards look a little more distinct.

Don’t feel left out, Android users. We've recently upgraded our Android app to make it easier for you to search for transactions on the go — filter by payment method, date, amount, and more.

Bite-sized improvements:

  • There’s a shiny new signup flow in town. If you haven’t already, open a Mercury account to try it out — our application only takes 10 minutes to complete.

Don't have a Mercury account yet? Give our customizable demo a spin — it’s outfitted with all our latest bells and whistles to give you the full product experience.
