Behind the book was a team that meticulously designed, executed, and measured these campaigns that helped set the standard for direct marketing that is used to this day.

We are looking for a Senior Data Science Manager who can build the measurement behind our growth engines with a high bar for quality while still executing with precision. In this role, you’ll be responsible for deeply understanding our customers, the systems of distribution for Mercury, designing how we are driving towards the overarching business and financial goals. You’ll work closely with a product, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to drive topline growth for Mercury.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 5 senior IC data scientists supporting Product, Marketing, and Revenue (Sales/Partnerships)
  • Proactively discover and define opportunities to level up the craft, strategy, and execution of our growth reporting.
  • Set the direction and define prioritized roadmaps for the team; ensuring we’re focused on work that solves user problems, enables product teams, and maximizes customer valueWork in ambiguity and be able to set and achieve priorities that find the perfect balance between both user and business needs
  • Translate qualitative and quantitative data and derive insights that inform product work; communicate these with the team
  • Partner closely with finance on goal setting, ROI calculation, and strategic investment decisions

We’re looking for a motivated product leader who cares deeply about craft and feels energized by opportunities to work across product teams to deliver a cohesive experience for our users. A successful candidate will likely have:

  • 5+ years of analytics experience, with 3+ years managing analytics teams
  • Experience in Growth, particularly product led growth practices
  • Ability to balance across multiple channels for growth, and make reasonable tradeoffs about perfect measurement vs smart investment decisions

The total rewards package at Mercury includes base salary, equity (stock options), and benefits. Our salary and equity ranges are highly competitive within the SaaS and fintech industry and are updated regularly using the most reliable compensation survey data for our industry. New hire offers are made based on a candidate’s experience, expertise, geographic location, and internal pay equity relative to peers.

Our target new hire base salary ranges for this role are the following:

  • US employees (any location): $237,600 - $279,500 USD
  • Canadian employees (any location): CAD $216,200 - $254,300
